This was taken last fall while the leaves were changing. As you can see there's still plenty of evergreens up here. This is the Columbia River Gorge and the building on the jutted out part is the Crown Point Vista House. Part of the scenic highway, it was built in 1916.

You'll Fall For It, Too
Another trip out of Portland to Multnomah Falls. You can see the upper and lower falls as well as the bridge, which was built in 1914 as part of the Columbia River Scenic Highway, now a historic scenic route. It was the only bridge built along the highway to be used strictly as pedestrian.
